At NannyCON you can expect high quality Professional Development training with Wellness Workshops. In 2023 we had 10 Childcare and Wellness Speakers and 5 Workshops-Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Sound Healing, Self Defence. No, unfortunately there is not an official afterparty. After NannyCON2023 some attendees and team members went to a local pub to celebrate, but it was a spontaneous moment. The weekend is very busy and most of our team have full time jobs outside of NannyCON so we will be encouraging everyone to rest. We are happy for attendees to meet up together if they wish to do so.

Your good vibes and good energy. If you plan to participate in any physical workshops, we advise you to bring a pair of leggings and a T-shirt as a spare change of clothing. If you plan to participate in the Soca Movement for Stress Relief workshop, please bring a Flag/s of your home countries or Island. We will provide you with a Conference Folder, Paper, and pen if you wish to write notes otherwise just turn up with your ticket in tow. You are very welcome to attend NannyCON on your own. Many attendees last year came by themselves and made friends very easily within the first 10 minutes of joining the conference. Our on the day team are super friendly and will make sure you are well looked after and not being forgotten. As we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and diverse community, we always make sure that everyone feels included and is not left behind. Yes, you can as we have an offsite Creche nearby for NannyCON attendees that are parents and wish to have their children nearby.Unfortunately, whilst the conference is live, we cannot have children on site. An exception to this is a newborn baby that is breastfeeding,if this is your circumstance please email Rahat at creche@nannycon.net with your full name, child’s name, child’s age, your contact information and the days that you will be attending the conference. The creche can only accept children from age 1 years old and goes up to 10 years old due to insurance purposes. It will be located offsite and a 5-minute walk from the Venue. Rates are £20 per day per child. We have qualified, DBS and First aid certified staff in the creche.If you wish to book your child into the creche please tick the ADD ON option when you are buying your ticket at check out. No, NannyCON is still a high-quality conference in its own unique league. We are big on quality over quantity and prefer to keep numbers low so we can continue to provide the same quality of care. We want to offer affordable high-quality training and accessible wellness workshops where it does not break the bank. We utilise the gift of volunteers and hire a small admin team of 4 to help organise the conference. In 2023 the founder Shada and her administrator Casey did all the work themselves whilst working full time as Nannies so this year we had to increase the team to help spread the workload fairly. We also try our best to get sponsorship to help with the running costs, but we remain the conference with the lowest costs and most value amongst the conferences that are currently in our industry. We try to keep fees the same each year, but unfortunately due to the growing rate of inflation this may not always be possible

We want to offer parents that work in childcare or Nanny Moms and Dads the opportunity to experience NannyCON. Why should they miss out because they cannot find childcare? So we have a team of experience, highly qualified Nannies & Nursery Practitioners, SENCO Leads to manage the creche for the weekend. We are trialling the Creche this year and if it is successful, we will make this a permanent statement at NannyCON. Make the most of this opportunity as we are the first conference to offer this service.
Each parent needs to complete a Child record form with details on any previous allergies, medical conditions and dietary requirements. We advise you bring a change of clothing (including underwear), nappies and wipes, nappy cream, any medicine you want the staff to administer, sun hat, wellies in case it rains, woolly hat, scarf, coat (weather dependent), a packed lunch with 2 snacks.
You will be kept up to date through our online private sharing system. You will need a login or download the app to be able to do this. At the end of each session staff members will talk you through your child’s day. The Creche will also be within walking distance from the NannyCON venue so if you wish to pop in you always can.
We open from 8am-6pm on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April 2024.
Accidents do happen, but of course we try our best to prevent them. If your child has an accident, we will let you know as soon as possible by phone and upon collection. We will complete an accident form to outline the incident (causes, treatments, outcomes etc) and provide any first aid needed. (All staff members are paediatric first aid trained).For any bigger incidents that we cannot manage we will consult professional advice through 999 or 111. We will keep you up to date by call, text and/or face to face. We fill out paperwork to log all information related to the accident.
Yes, all members of staff full time, part time, volunteers hold a current DBS check. Staff members also have signed up to the update service which always us to check their most up to date DBS Check.
No, unfortunately we have to cover costs for our staff and the venue, so we are charging £20 per child per day. If you choose to attend the conference on both days and wish to have your child in the Creche it will only cost, you £40 for each child. These prices are subject to charge in the future.
Your child can still attend the Creche as we ask for all Parents to provide a packed lunch. For allergy purposes we will not accept any packed lunches or food items that may contact nuts. If your child has a EpiPen we advise you to pack two in your child’s bag. All our staff will be notified of any allergies and/or medical conditions.
This is not a problem although please inform us at least 30 days before the event so we can provide you with a password system. The parent that drops the child off must be the one collecting the child unless discussed otherwise. We will require the full name, address, mobile number and email of the alternative adult who is collecting your child.
We understand this can happen as some things are out of our control. We ask for you to let us know if this is going to happen as soon as you are aware by calling the NannyCON Creche mobile which will be given you when you drop your child off. It is not a problem once or twice but if this becomes regular you will be charged for any extra hours at our normal hourly rate.
We take children from 1 years old up until 10 years old.
All members of our team hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate.
We will have a mixture of qualified professionals. Some staff are Nannies, and some are Childminders or Nursery Practitioners with experience ranging from 5 years up to 20 years. Everyone will hold a childcare qualification and we have a mix of Level 2, Level 3 and degree educated Childcare Professionals. of staff with no formal childcare qualifications. All members of staff have Safeguarding Training and paediatric first aid training.
You can pay for the Creche when you purchase your NannyCON Ticket. There is an option for add On’s and you tick the box, and it will be added to your check out total. Once you pay we will be in touch via email for you to complete the Child Record Form and sign the Creche Agreement prior to the conference.
